During this Tuesday night’s state dinner with South Korean President Moon Jae-in, President Donald Trump exchanged quite the bag full of compliments, taking in mind the fact that the state dinner was thrown just in his honor.

The S. Korean President didn’t miss out on the opportunity to congratulate the US commander-in-chief on one full year of being elected president, showing that he kept track of the date.

Starting out his mid-festivity speech, Moon Jae-in said, “In Korea, we have a custom of holding a special celebration on one’s first birthday,” before adding, “So after pondering about how to best celebrate the first anniversary of President Trump’s victory, I decided to invite the President to Korea as a state guest and hold a banquet.”

THEN, THE SOUTH KOREAN PRESIDENT, MOON JAE IN, SAID TRUMP’S PRESIDENCY ‘IS ALREADY MAKING AMERICA GREAT AGAIN.’

President Donald Trump, however, couldn’t help but feel flattered at the kind remarks and the applause he had received from the South Korean president and decided it would only be respectful if he returned the compliments during his own speech.

To be more specific, President Trump said, “The relationship that we have is a fantastic one,” he said, further explaining, “The partnership between our two nations and our two people is deep and enduring.”

After taking a moment to tout his great relations with the South, he decided that the moment, which was broadcasted far and wide, was the perfect opportunity to make a not-so-subtle reference to the communist North Korea and the security as well as nuclear threat it poses to the world, saying, “Together our nations remind the world of the boundless potential of societies that choose freedom over tyranny.”
