On Monday, immediately after the Las Vegas massacre in which the worst mass shooting in American history took place, the terrorist group ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack. As The Independent reported:
A statement published by the group’s Amaq propaganda agency claimed the attacker was a “soldier of the Islamic State.” “The Las Vegas attacker is a soldier of the Islamic State in response to calls to target coalition countries,” it said. Isis also claimed the gunman “converted to Islam several months ago”, without providing more details.
1- This is strange. ISIS just claimed Las Vegas attack. Arabic statement says shooter converted to Islam months ago. @jenanmoussa pic.twitter.com/LjJUcwB7Hy

2- I can confirm that the ISIS statement appeared on ISIS affiliated Amaq news agency. No evidence to back up claim. @akhbar

3- Contrary to public belief, ISIS does NOT claim every incident. Amaq claim on Las Vegas shooting should not be automatically dismissed.

4- Amaq by now has 2 Arabic statements. They also refer to the Las Vegas shooter as a "soldier of Islamic State." @akhbar pic.twitter.com/PfWQ0MhesJ

Although there is no evidence of a link between the Vegas shooter and ISIS, we can not rule out any possibilities until more is known.
