TAKE THAT, Criminals! Concealed Carrier Saves The Day

A brave Quiznos employee warded off three armed robbers when she used her own firearm to protect herself and her fellow employees until police arrived.

According to the The Salt Lake Tribune, the incident happened Thursday at a Quiznos fast food store in Salt Lake City.

The Tribune reported that one female and two male intruders entered the fast food restaurant armed with two guns. The criminals immediately went for the cash register, and one of the robbers threatened an employee who was working that station.

KSTU TV reported that two of the robbers then ran to the back room, but didn’t have much luck.

What happened next took the criminals by surprise.

“An employee in that back room was barricading the door, preventing them from coming in,” Detective Greg Wilking of the Salt Lake City Police Department told the station.

Knowing that she wouldn’t be able to hold out forever, the female employee pulled out a gun and began. Bullets flew in the restaurant, and one hit a female robber in the neck, seriously injuring her.

That was enough to scare off the other robbers, and they ran out of the building. The criminals were able to get away with some cash, but thankfully, no employee was hurt.

Wilking said the crime was much more aggressive than other robberies.

“This is an extreme type of robbery,” he said. “We’re talking about a situation where they’re locking the door, they’re forcing their way into the back room; it’s a takeover-style robbery. It’s not something that we see very often, much more dangerous for everybody involved.”

These three criminals weren’t expecting such a reaction from an employee. Perhaps they thought the unarmed employees would easily surrender out of fear. But thanks to this Second Amendment believer, the robbers definitely learned their lesson.
