Trump Says Reports of Russians Have Dirt on Him Are ‘Fake News’

Share this:

CNN has been pretty busy targeting President-elect Donald Trump ever since he declared for the presidency, and they managed to do it again this week, this time in their most brazen act yet.

It didn’t take long for Trump to challenge them on it, and he did it in epic fashion — calling the story “fake news” and a “witch hunt.”

According to Politico, the controversy stemmed from a two-page classified document, allegedly appended to the report on Russian hacking, that claimed that the Russians had “personal and financial information” on Trump that they could use to blackmail him.

It was reported that this had to do with a series of unverified documents allegedly put together by a former British intelligence officer. Those documents couldn’t be verified by any major media outlet, The U.K. Guardianreported.

However, that didn’t stop listicle kings BuzzFeed News from publishing the unredacted documents on Tuesday, “so that Americans can make up their own minds about allegations about the president-elect that have circulated at the highest levels of the U.S. government.”

Keep in mind that BuzzFeed also admitted that the documents were “unverified and potentially unverifiable” and also contained glaring errors. And the documents also weren’t just minor things, either. I absolutely refuse to reprint the accusations made against Trump in the documents, except to say that they go beyond disgusting.

It’s worth pointing out that for a news outlet that talked so much about “fake news” during the aftermath of Trump’s election, CNN seems entirely willing to air it themselves. It’s all part of a delegitimization process that the liberal media have applying to Trump all along.
