Trump Lines Up Experts To Build The Mexican-American Wall

The Israeli company that built the ultra-secure wall surrounding the Gaza Strip in Israel has expressed interest in building Donald Trump’s “big, beautiful, powerful wall” if the real estate magnate becomes president.

In an interview with Bloomberg, Magal Security Systems Ltd. CEO Saar Koursh said he could build the same high-tech wall along the 2,000 miles of border between the United States and Mexico.

“We would join forces with a major U.S. defense company that has experience with such projects worldwide,” Koursh said. “We’ve done it in the past and we would definitely want to do it.”

The Israeli company’s fences are anything but basic brick-and-mortar jobs that can be easily gotten around. The Daily Caller reports that the company’s high-tech borders include “cameras, ground sensors, satellite monitoring capabilities and motion detectors.”

And while borders may be controversial politically, investors know border security is going to be a growth market, especially with the refugee crisis, terrorism, and human smuggling. Shares in American Depositary Receipts, Magal’s Nasdaq affiliate, are up 23 percent in 2016 — almost a quarter of the original value.

“The border business was down, but then came ISIS and the Syrian conflict,” Koursh said. “The world is changing and borders are coming back big-time.”

And as for handling the controversy that would surround such a fence along our southern border … well, this guy managed to get a wall up around the Gaza Strip for the Israeli government. That’s pretty impressive.

“We put a smart fence around the entire Gaza Strip,” he also said in an interview last month. “Anybody can give you a very nice Powerpoint, but few can show you such a complex project as Gaza that is constantly battle-tested.”

Anyone who thinks walls don’t work ought to go over to Israel and see how effectively it’s cut down on suicide bombing and other such attacks. Yes, the Palestinians still mount terror attacks against the Israelis, but with less frequency and fewer Israeli casualties than before.

That technology could be applied to our southern border, in order to ensure human smugglers, drug traffickers and terrorists aren’t able to treat it as an open door. Please like and share on Facebook and Twitter if you agree that’s the direction America needs to go in.
