The Democrat National Committee email hack just keeps getting worse and worse for the Democrats. This latest release includes sensitive information that will be a big headache for them.
Hacker Guccifer 2.0 released the private emails and cellphone numbers of most House Democrats in a post on his WordPress blog — including documents from Nancy Pelosi’s personal computer, according to The Gateway Pundit.
The Excel file the hacker uploaded also included the personal information for hundreds of congressional staffers — people such as press secretaries, chiefs of staff, legislative directors, schedulers etc.
Guccifer 2.0 announced the latest release with this: “As you see I wasn’t wasting my time! It was even easier than in the case of the DNC breach.”
Passwords and account names for a variety of subscription services used by the Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee were also released.
“NeverTrumper” Glenn Beck was even included — the password for his website was revealed to be “nutbag” — along with those of other Republicans including former Rep. Michele Bachman, Sen. John McCain and Sen. Lindsey Graham.
Guccifer 2.0 has called himself a “hacktivist” and has called the U.S. presidential elections a “farce,” adding that the elections were “being settled behind the scenes as it was with Bernie Sanders.”
The self-proclaimed hacktivist added this about the mainstream media: “The MSM are producing tons of propaganda hiding the real stuff behind it. But I do believe that people have right to know what’s going on inside the election process in fact.”
Guccifer 2.0 claimed that he had more information about the DCCC and that all journalists would have to do to get it was to contact him via direct message on Twitter.
The FBI was investigating these hacks by Guccifer 2.0, who has claimed to be a Romanian “unknown hacker with a laptop.”
It has been reported — largely by left-wing media — that so-called “cyber security professionals,” believe that these hacks stem from the Russian government. But as Zero Hedge (and others) have pointed out, there isn’t any credible evidence that this was the case.
These hacks have been quite a headache for the Democrats but very illuminating for the voting public.
It obviously remains to be seen what impact they will have on the November elections, but as WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has alluded to, there’s more out there, and Democrat presidential nominee Hillary Clinton may well be in for an October surprise.
