‘She’s Not From The Bronx! She’s A Fraud!’ – High School Classmates Rat Out Ocasio-Cortez’s Wealthy Up-Bringing

Share this:

New York Democratic Rep.-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has come under fire for claiming to be a “girl from the Bronx” when she actually grew up in a wealthy suburb in upstate New York.

And now it appears that she may have gone by a completely different name when she was in high school.

In an exclusive to The Gateway Pundit, old yearbook photographs of Ocasio-Cortez not only show that she went to a fancy high school, she also appears to have gone by a different name.

TGP reports that an “anonymous classmate” reached out to them and provided photos of Ocasio-Cortez from high school.

The outlet claims that the classmate attended and graduated from Yorktown High School, which is where Ocasio-Cortez went.

Ocasio-Cortez graduated in 2007 from Yorktown Heights, which is a middle-to-upper class area in Westchester County in upstate New York City.

Below is an image of Ocasio-Cortez in the yearbook.

Another image from the alleged yearbook appears to show that Alexandria went by “Sandy Ocasio.”

Below are two more images from the yearbook:

The alleged classmate reportedly told TGP that Yorktown High School had an “excellent” educational program, was well funded, and that students even had access to Putnam northern Westchester BOCES, which is a trade school.

According to Trulia, the average price of a home in Yorktown goes for $477,000. That’s almost half a million dollars for a home, which signifies how nice of an area she grew up in.

The yearbook photos coupled with the fact that it Alexandria appears to have gone by the name “Sandy” in high school comes after she was busted last week misleading about her upbringing.

The 29-year-old socialist took to Twitter to share a photograph of the new plaque outside of her office in the U.S. capitol.

“Don’t be fooled by the plaques that we got, I’m still / I’m still Alex from the Bronx,” she captioned the tweet.

Again, Ocasio-Cortez is not a “girl from the Bronx.”

She actually grew up in a wealthy suburb in Westchester county.

Ocasio-Cortez currently lives in the Bronx, but county land records show her father, Sergio Cortez-Roman, bought a three-bedroom home in Yorktown Heights, New York in 1991, when she was two-years-old.

She lived there for most of her life until she moved back to the Bronx after graduating from Brown University, an Ivy League school with arguably the highest tuition costs in the nation.

report from earlier this year detailed how nice her family home was that she grew up in:

The home, a single-story with a finished basement, most recently sold for $355,000 in 2016. The median annual income in the area is $116,741, compared to the median annual income of $48,315 in Parkchester’s zip code, according to the latest Census data.

The issue at hand is that Ocasio-Cortez appears to be strongly misleading people about her upbringing.

While she claims to be a “girl from the Bronx” with humble beginnings, it doesn’t appear that is the case at all.

Ocasio-Cortez spent most of her life in Westchester County, where the average price of a home goes for $477,000.

She went to a fancy high school in a community where homes cost around half a million dollars.

The annual median income in that area is also $116,741, which is far above the national average, which was around 48,000 in 2017.

It also appears that she went by the name “Sandy Ocasio” in high school and not Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

One has to wonder why she continues to mislead about her upbringing and apparent name change.
