Ye has “entered into an agreement in principle” to purchase the social media site Parler, the company announced on Monday morning.
“Parlement Technologies is pleased to announce that it has entered into an agreement in principle for Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, to acquire the Parler platform,” Parler said in a statement on their website. “The acquisition ensures Parler a future role in creating an uncancelable ecosystem where all voices are welcome.”
“This deal will change the world, and change the way the world thinks about free speech. Ye is making a groundbreaking move into the free speech media space and will never have to fear being removed from social media again,” Parler CEO George Farmer said.
Ye has been banned from Instagram and Twitter for “anti-Semitism” and had his bank account closed at JP Morgan Chase.
Seeing as how he’s refusing to back down or be silenced, he’s going to need his own platform.
During a wild interview with Drink Champs released in full on Sunday, Ye said he may have to buy his own bank.
