New York Times Gloats That Alex Jones Trial Will DESTROY Independent Media And Will Be Used To ‘Go After 2020 Election Deniers’

The New York Times has gleefully proclaimed that the Alex Jones defamation lawsuit will lead to the suppression of free expression online and the demise of independent media.

In an article titled, “Lies for Profit: Can Sandy Hook Parents Shut Alex Jones Down?“, NYT’s Elizabeth Williamson declared Monday that the defamation trials against Jones hold “lessons” for other cases against individuals who believe in “conspiracy theories” such as the 2020 election was stolen or being a supporter of Donald Trump.

“Lawyers say the three trials hold lessons for other cases against conspiracy-minded defendants, from the Jan. 6 insurrectionists to Trump allies sued for falsely claiming that voting machine manufacturers helped ‘steal’ the 2020 presidential election. Mr. Jones is also under scrutiny for his role in events surrounding the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol,” Williamson wrote.

“Lawyers for the Sandy Hook families say a verdict, expected this week in the first trial, could send a signal to other conspiracy purveyors about the cost of online lies and set into motion a chain of events that could shut Infowars down.”

infowars.com reports: Questioning the results of a presidential election is not a crime, but the establishment is trying to change that.

Given all the lies Infowars and others exposed about the years-long “Russia collusion” hoax, the harmful COVID vaccines and lockdowns, and the Ukraine conflict despite unprecedented online censorship, shutting down dissenting voices through the courts is now a top priority of the powers that be.

“New York Times explicitly saying it: goal of #AlexJones case is to use it as precedent to go after those who contest 2020 election & any other government disfavored ‘conspiracy minded’ folks, like everyone who challenged lockdowns, mandates, Covid origins, lies to get us into war,” constitutional lawyer Robert Barnes noted Monday.

A verdict in Jones’ Texas defamation show trial is expected later this week.

I dont know, to me, he is just another fat-faced media blowhard who may or may not really know what he’s talking about but if he doesn’t that won’t stop him.

And to everybody i pose the question on school shootings about soft-minded youth and strong influences like video games, movies, and television and yes, the internet and social media too. These are not the droids you’re looking for…putting bad ideas in kids’ heads. Interactive media, indeed.

In times past they talked about the dangers of D&D, the board game, and youth spending all day in fantasyland then acting out IRL. I think we are way past that and parents need to start talking with their kids about the difference between cyberspace and your real life and why its important to protect your mind from some of this stuff before someone online makes a monkey out of you and you end up doing something you never intended to but their influence over you was that powerful, and make no mistake, there are some powerful influences out there, which are also to be found in musical lyrics, blogsites, and so on.

The internet wastes are not to be traveled lightly, so make sure there’s nothing lodged in YOUR subconscious that could come back to bite you later as a result of your media use and exposure.
