Doug Jones’ past has come to haunt him. An article was recently published by AL.com describing the Alabama Senate hopeful’s role in a 2001 lawsuit against UAB. According to the article, the defendant, the victim of sex abuse that occurred while studying at the university and which she suffered while still a minor (age 15), called Jones a hypocrite without merit.
The article goes into detail about how Jones was paid by UAB to be on retainer and to help impose a scathing public image that the victim and her family were money hungry scum bags looking for an easy payday.
