Trump donates his first quarter salary; liberals SHOCKED at where

Share this:

During President Trump’s campaign, he promised supporters that he would not take a salary if elected President. However, by law, the president of the United States is obligated to take a salary. Trump is the President conservatives hoped for, he continues to find ways around obstacles and is keeping the promises he made to Americans.

From The Hill:

President Trump will donate his first three months of salary to the National Park Service, White House press secretary Sean Spicer announced Monday.

“The president has spoken with counsel and made the decision to donate his first-quarter salary to a government entity,” Spicer said at Monday’s briefing.

Spicer handed a check for $78,333.32 for the National Park Service to Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke. Spicer said the paycheck starts from Jan. 20, when Trump took office, until now.It will be hard for liberals to argue with the move, as the National Park Service works to protect America’s vast natural resources. In addition to that, they also maintain many of America’s historical sites, something important to the president:

At Monday’s briefing, Zinke said the donation will go to the maintaining historic battlefield sites.

Although the plan was to wait until the end of the year, breaking up the donations by quarter will allow different causes to receive the money. With this move, the administration can still solicit feedback on where future donations should go.

The donation is just another promise that is being kept by a president that shows no signs of backing down from his campaign rhetoric. This time, the move is all but impossible for liberals to cry about, but they’ll probably find a way.
