According to reports, the Church of England has proclaimed that Jesus Christ was “non-binary” and has ordered clergy not to refer to God using male pronouns.
The politically correct action follows Reverend Joanna Stobart’s assertion that some clergy prefer to refer to God without using the pronouns He or Him in order to be “more inclusive.” Stobart is a vicar in the diocese of Guildford.
Stobart wrote: “Please could the Liturgical Commission provide an update on the steps being taken to develop more inclusive language in our authorized liturgy and to provide more options for those who wish to use authorized liturgy and speak of God in a non-gendered way, particularly in authorized absolutions where many of the prayers offered for use refer to God using male pronouns?”
Summit.news reports: The report notes that the Bishop of Lichfield, the Rt Rev Michael Ipgrave, responded “We have been exploring the use of gendered language in relation to God for several years, in collaboration with the Faith and Order Commission.”

This latest attempt to shoehorn wokeness into the Church of England comes after revelations of the establishment of a £100 million fund to “address past wrongs of slavery,” even as some church buildings are literally falling apart.
Over Christmas, a CofE church in Loughborough made headlines when it erased references to the nativity and Jesus in a Christmas carol and replaced them with a celebration of “queer” people.
In July last year, the Church of England refused to define what a woman was, saying they had no definition of it on their books, despite still ostensibly opposing same sex marriage.
In 2021, the CofE announced it was introducing quotas for black and ethnic clergy to pave the way for ‘anti-racism training’ in the Church, as well as ‘contextualising church statues that may cause offence.”
Not even God is spared from the woke mob.

Did anyone tell King Charles III about this change. As defender of the faith and head of the Anglican Church I would hope so. So for the 4000 yrs or so we know GOD is the FATHER and is a MALE not a female. And so OUR LORD is non binary since HE is the SON of GOD THE FATHER>
I say POX to every member of any faith who denies HE is HE and not some what if.
May these clergy and bishops be visited very very soon by the AOD (angels of death) and taken for Judgement by GOD the FATHER and be forever sent to HELL.
I’m a 4th generation Episcopalian. My son and daughter were 5th generation and my three grandkids I was proud to say were 6th generation Anglicans. Well even before this declaration from other than the Almighty, my son, his wife and three children were on their way out. Our priest has a progressive bent and for the last few months embracing the LGBTQ agenda has been creeping into his sermons. Finally my son said we are out of here. This is not the way we want to bring up our children. While we will miss seeing them in church on Sunday and our grandson serving as an acolyte, we totally understand their need to do this. They have found a non-denominational, non-liturgical church that is very conservative and the kid’s love it. He said going to church on Sunday is fun again.
My husband decided we would stay where we are, mostly because we love the people in our church. He said as long as the “woke” nonsense stays out of the liturgy he’ll stay. Well, there it is. It appears the “woke” nonsense will become part of the liturgy. There is a reformed Anglican church not far from our current church and we’ll probably end up checking that out. We prefer a liturgical church, but aside from that our current church was halfway between our home and our son’s. Their new church is down the road from them and not at all close to us. It looks like we’ve got some hard choices to make in the upcoming months. I can’t imagine what the Anglican Communion thinks they are going to gain by trying to appeal to few while losing many. So sad to see.
This strikes me as “unwoke”. Those of us who reject transgender ideology insist on “he” for people with boy bits and “she” for people with girl bits. But God does not have a body, and so has no bits. How can we say God is male if he hasn’t got the bits? Maybe God “identifies” as male, but I, for one, do not accept this identification when a trans person claims it, and nor can I accept it if God claims it. God has no sex or gender. Using “he” for God is as wrong as using “she”.
This is beyond insane. I am not religious but I have more religion in my little finger than these so called religious people. They are too busy trying to be “woke” and more inclusive instead of doing what they are supposed to be doing and teaching the religion. God the father has been around since the start. Now they want to change it. What’s next God is really transgender? They really need people to start laughing at the ridiculous actions they are trying to promote. If they want to have God as non binary (what ever that means) let them start their own religion.
I’ve been wondering if now the “Lord’s Prayer” is going to go the way of prayer in schools. I am a very religious person and I believe in accepting people but not embracing agendas. That is not the purpose of “religions”. As has always been the case and someone doesn’t find a religion to their liking they join or found another one. But these days it seems the agenda driven among us want nothing more than to change everything to their liking and too many of the mainstream churches are jumping on the bandwagon with the assumption they will gain more congregants and thus more money in the coffers. Even if that does happen it won’t be the same religion as before so what has anyone gained. And all I can think of is if you stand for nothing you will fall for anything and that’s not a good thing to base society upon.
I totally agree with you. That is why I don’t go to church because they have changed too much to my way of thinking and miss the entire point. It’s like trying to be more of a friend than a parent to your child. It does more harm than good.
