BREAKING: Marco Rubio Just Dropped A Bomb On Senate GOP Leadership

Share this:

Marco Rubio just dropped a tweet calling on Senate Republicans to postpone their leadership vote scheduled for next week.

His stated reasons for doing so are that “First we need to make sure that those who want to lead us are genuinely committed to fighting for the priorities & values of the working Americans (of every background) who gave us big wins in states like #Florida.”

Here’s the tweet:

Wow. That sounds like a shot right across McConnell’s bough. But maybe not just McConnell.

Senator Rick Scott suggested just yesterday that he’d like to replace McConnell.

Look it’s hard to say what Rubio is really suggesting in this short tweet, whether he might want to run to be leader of the Senate himself or whether he might support Scott as replacement.

But one thing does seem rather clear, that he’d like to see someone other than McConnell leading Republicans in the Senate.

As you might imagine, there are a ton of responses to Rubio’s statement:

Not everyone on the right thinks this is a good idea…like Hugh Hewitt:

The M&M boys should not be the leaders the Republican party. They do not speak for the majority of the Party.

Mitch McConnell is a R.I.N.O. and needs not to even be a Senator let alone the leader ! That S.O.B. has stabbed the American people in the back many times he’s almost as bad as Liz Chaney. GET RID OF McConnell !

What happened to Scalia? He was well on his way to being Speaker a few years ago before the House went back to the Dems. He was also critically shot playing football with the other members of the House. He should be in line for Speaker for sure.

Like how they rallied around their republican presidential nominee in 16′?

With a few minor exceptions, BOTH parties are liars and cheats, if not outright TREASONOUS.
