A doctor with the World Professional Association for Transgender Health expressed concern about the regret that researchers are finding among young adults who transition to the opposite sex when they were children without fully understanding the ramifications.
Specifically, this doctor pointed out that Dutch researchers have found that many children end up regretting their decision to transition as they get older. And he’s essentially saying he’s noticed the same thing as he keeps track of his patients into their twenties.
“That’s always bothered me,” he says, “but you know, we still want the kids to be happier in the moment, right?”

Project Veritas released a new video today which shows medical professionals associated with the World Professional Association for Transgender Health [WPATH] discussing the regret many underage people go through after gender-affirming surgery.
Dr. Daniel Metzger was recorded during a video conference meeting where he highlighted some of these findings.
“We try to talk about it [transgenderism], but most of the kids are nowhere in any kind of brain space to talk about it really — in a serious way. That’s always bothered me, but you know, we still want the kids to be happy,” Metzger said.
“The Pediatric Endocrinology Society meeting — some of the Dutch researchers gave some data about young adults who have transitioned and have reproductive regret. Like, regret, and it’s there, and I don’t think any of that surprises us,” he said.
There has been a lot of controversy surrounding this topic. Earlier this week, several influential health organizations in the United States asked that social media accounts that question the highly lucrative gender-affirming surgery industry for children to be investigated.
The main point of regret that this doctor emphasizes is that these young adults who transitioned when they were young realize that they can’t reproduce. When they were 14-year-olds, they didn’t care about these consequences and would just say they’d adopt or something.
He suggested discussing the consequences of transitioning is like talking to a 14-year-old about diabetes. They don’t care because they think they’re going to live forever. He says they just aren’t in a head space to understand all of this at such a young age.
But he dismisses it all by saying that they still want children to be happy in the moment. So whatever, I guess, go ahead with the life-altering surgery anyway even though you know it’s wrong. Geez.

All of this is for the sake of the money involved and not the child’s welfare. It also stinks of Political correctness. Adults who push children to go through “gender reassignment surgery” or transformation are just as bad. If they think it’s so great, then why didn’t they “transform” themselves? Adult medical professionals know better than to do this to children too. Psychologists know this is even wrong because children’s minds do change as they mature. Their hormone levels start changing as the child matures. Yet these people just look at the money aspect of this, not the long-term effects on the child as they grow up. It’s morally wrong and these people know it. Their licenses should be jerked for their lack of care with children. What’s worse is if these medical boards that license doctors, go along with this as well, then they are just as at fault. There are waiting periods for many things and this is one of those things that I feel should also have a waiting period. Wait until the child has a chance to mature and then see if they still feel the same way. Surgical procedures and hormones given to correct gender dysphoria, which is transient, is the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard. You can’t fix this physical problem once it’s broken either. They can’t go back to what they were, if they change their minds, because the parts are gone and the effects of the hormones given to make the transformation can be permanent. Their “transformation” is permanent, not repairable according to what has been published so far. Talk about Dr. Frankenstein! Let’s just talk about greed instead!
