Fauci admitted to CBS News that he became upset when President Trump appeared to put the rights of the individual over ‘societal safety’ during the pandemic:
Fauci didn’t like it when Trump tweeted ‘Free Virginia’ and ‘Free Michigan’, claiming Trump promoted a “misplaced perception about people’s individual right to make a decision that supersedes the societal safety.”
Fauci says this is one of the things he felt that went ‘awry’, and thus he made a decision to start doing more interviews so he could contradict Trump.
