Biden’s Delaware Trips Have Cost Taxpayers $3M For Security Alone

President Joe Biden’s frequent trips to his Delaware home have cost taxpayers more than $3 million in security alone, according to the New York Post.

Even though he has been in office for less than a year, Biden has taken 25 trips to Delaware already, according to Secret Service expense records. His first 16 trips cost the Secret Service $1.96 million in hotel rooms and rental cars, as well as airfare and train tickets. The other nine trips that had not yet been included and likely push that total to $3 million.

The total cost is probably much higher than that — the Pentagon has not released the costs for using Air Force One and Marine One during these trips.

“Most Americans know that Biden is being hidden because he isn’t fit for office,” a former Trump White House official said. “What they may not realize is that they’re paying insane amounts of money for him to be tucked into bed in Delaware every weekend.”

The Biden administration also recently spent $450,000 to begin construction of a security fence around Biden’s Delaware beach house.

Biden has refused to release visitor logs from his Delaware residences, despite how often he stays at them.

“I can confirm we are not going to be providing information about the comings and goings of the president’s grandchildren or people visiting him in Delaware,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki said back in August.

Judicial Watch Tom Fitton argued presidential travel is an “obvious public interest” and blasted the federal government for stonewalling efforts to make the costs of this travel and visitor logs public information.

“If they’re going to take the position that this information should be public, what are they hiding when it comes to visiting his home?” Fitton asked.

“The presidency doesn’t stop when he’s visiting Delaware,” he said. “He is presumably doing work. So the public has an interest in knowing who is visiting him there. Is Hunter [Biden] visiting him?”
