CNN and their cast of goons have fallen so far down the pit of Trump Derangement Syndrome that I fear it’s too deep for them to escape.
In their latest display of madness, CNN moron Brian Stelter invited an ‘expert’ to his show to explain to viewers how Trump is just like a mass-murdering cult leader and his followers all brainwashed and suicidal rubes.
CNN host Brian Stelter compared “Trump fandom” with the notorious “Jonestown” cult of Jim Jones. Stelter went so far as to call it the “Cult of Trump.”
“These citizens in other countries sometimes email me, and say you know why doesn’t the American media just call out Trump for what he is? Call Trump fandom for what it is? Sometimes they use the word ‘cult.’ I know that’s a sensitive word, doesn’t come up a lot in American news coverage, so I wanted to put it to an expert, an unfortunate expert,” Stelter said as he introduced Rep. Jackie Speier (D-CA) to explain the comparison.
“How is a congresswoman an expert on this,” you might ask.
Speier participated in a fact-finding trip to the location of Jonestown massacre, where cult leader Jim Jones led over 900 people into mass suicide/murder.
Oh boy! Let’s see how Speier tries to spin this web.
“There’s no question that you could compare Jim Jones as a charismatic leader who would bring his congregation together, force them to do things that were illegal, and then took 900 of them into the jungles of Guyana, where, over the course of time, he convinced them that they should die,” Speier said.
“So, you look at Donald Trump — charismatic leader who was able to continue to talk in terms that appealed to those who are disaffected, disillusioned and who were looking for something, much like those who became part of Jim Jones’ congregation. … They were lost souls.”
“The only difference between Jim Jones and Donald Trump is the fact that we now have social media. So, all these people can find themselves in ways that they couldn’t find themselves before.”
Stelter gave a hearty “Mmmm” to that “social media” line, so his audience could know it’s a REALLY good point.
So, there you have it folks, the ONLY difference between Jim Jones and Donald Trump is social media, and if you are a fan of Donald Trump then you are a brainwashed suicide cult member.
