This is horrific. A black man in NYC repeatedly punched an 83-year-old man in the face after pouring his drink on the man while standing on a bus.

Police released this video of the attack, which does not include the violent ‘punching’:

Here’s more from the NY Post:

A man poured his drink on an elderly man’s head and pummeled him during a fight on a Bronx MTA bus, new surveillance video shows.

The 83-year-old victim was attempting to get off an MTA bus at Barnes Avenue and East Gun Hill Road in Williamsbridge around 5:30 p.m. May 31 when he got into a spat with a younger passenger, cops said.

Things heated up when the suspect poured his bottle filled with a yellow beverage on the older man’s head, as they both stood toward the front of the bus, video released by the NYPD Wednesday shows.

The octogenarian is shown repeatedly trying to push away and fend off his attacker.

Cops said the suspect then punched his victim in the face repeatedly, which is not shown in the footage.

The assailant then got off the bus and fled west on East Gun Hill Road.

The victim was taken to Jacobi Medical Center with multiple facial fractures.

The suspect is between 30 and 40 years old, around 5 feet 11 and 180 pounds, and was last seen wearing a denim jacket, blue jeans, a black hat and black sneakers, authorities said.

Suspect in the bus assault

There is no argument that would justify the brutal attack of this 83-year-old man, who now suffers from multiple face fractures. It’s absolutely unconscionable that he would violently attack someone so small and frail, who has no good way of defending themselves. Attacking the weak and elderly is one of the worst things you can do and honestly, after seeing this, I’m not sure this thug deserves to live any longer. Sadly, when he is caught, he’ll probably just serve a few years prison time and be back out on the streets because this is New York City, after all.
