Fauci finally admitted this morning that he wears a mask indoors for completely theatrical purposes, revealing that he is sending completely mixed messages with the stunt:

Here’s what Fauci told George Stephanopoulos this morning when asked how the new guidelines has changed his own mask wearing practices:
“I am now much more comfortable with people seeing me indoors without a mask. Before the CDC made the recommendation change, I didn’t want to look like I was giving mixed signals. But being a fully vaccinated person, the chances of my getting infected in an indoor setting is extremely low. And that’s the reason why in indoor settings now, I feel comfortable about not wearing a mask…”
A vaccinated person wearing a mask, as someone cleverly pointed out on Twitter, is the very essence of sending mixed signals. And they are completely right, which is precisely what Rand Paul has been attempting to convey for months. With his mask wearing and advice to vaccinated people about masks, Paul has accused Fauci of ignoring science and pushing theater, which Fauci has consistently refuted. Now he’s admitting that Paul was right and that he’s been wearing one for show.
It’s no wonder so many don’t like him at this point.
