California Democrat Rep. Maxine Waters is insulting and smearing America again.
During an interview on KTLA’s “Inside California Politics,” Waters said America is getting “more racist” every single day.
The bizarre conversation began when Waters was asked about GOP Sen. Tim Scott, an African-American who gave the rebuttal to Joe Biden’s address to a joint session of Congress last week.
“Well, you know, I don’t know if he was counseled to say that or whether he really believes that,” Waters said.
“If you really believe that, then he has missed not only the history of the country but what is going right now. As we watched the invasion of the Capitol on January 6, those people following Trump say they were taking back their government, and they were willing to harm people,” she added.
“As a matter of not only were they willing to harm people but Capitol Police, who happened to be people of color, African-American, they were calling them names of the N-word. Every day we have seen this nation get more racist than anybody thought perhaps would be at this point in time,” she said.
Waters added: “We’ve been through the civil rights movement where of course, we made some progress, but this president that we had Trump was taking us backward. He was making racist comments. You know, identify himself with people like the Ku Klux Klan and the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepers and QAnon. I mean, that is racism defined in the most obvious way, and so to say that this is not a racist country, maybe he meant to say that there are many people who are not racist in this country. But yes, we have a problem with racism.”

Scott was praised for his impressive speech on Wednesday night, where he spoke about unity, finding common ground about race, and how he did not think America is a racist country.
Scott said that he himself knows the “pain of discrimination,” having been “pulled over for no reason” and “followed around a store.”
He also added: “I’ve also experienced a different kind of intolerance. I get called ‘Uncle Tom’ and the N-word by progressives, by liberals. Just last week, a national newspaper suggested my family’s poverty was actually a privilege because a relative owned land generations before my time.”

After Scott’s speech, the phrase “Uncle Tim” trended on Twitter, a combination of the names Tim Scott and “Uncle Tom,” a racial slur that has historically been used to accuse black men of being submissive to white men.
The South Carolina senator called out the responses to his speech during an appearance on “Fox & Friends” the next morning.
“It is stunning in 2021 that those who speak about ending discrimination want to end it by more discrimination,” Scott said.
“I’ll just tell you that it has been an amazing morning with so many good people calling. But the Left, they have doubled down. They are not going to attack my policies, but they are literally attacking the color of my skin. You cannot step out of your lane according to the liberal elite Left,” he said.
“Look at the COVID package. The COVID package itself discriminated against white farmers,” he continued. “We had the Pickford settlements in the early 90s so that black farmers would be treated fairly by the federal government, now we are going to reverse that and discriminate against white farmers.”
“Did we not learn the lesson the first time around? I’ll just tell you that it has been an amazing morning with so many good people calling. But the Left, they have doubled down. They are not going to attack my policies, but they are literally attacking the color of my skin. You cannot step out of your lane according to the liberal elite Left,” Scott said.
