Disgusting Best-Selling Prayer Book Includes Prayer Asking God To Help Author “Hate White People”

A self-proclaimed “public theologian and ecumenical minister” specializing in “racial and gender oppression,” who once gave a lecture in which she blamed racism on “pathological whiteness,” is in hot water after a screenshot from her prayer book highlighted her own hatred for white people.

Chanequa Walker-Barnes wrote in her book, “A Rhythm of Prayer: A Collection of Meditations for Renewal,” that she wants God to help her “hate White people.” If that prayer is not answered, she wants God to help her “at least to want to hate [white people].” And if that doesn’t work, “At least, I want to stop caring about their misguided, racist souls.”

Once the screenshot began being spread across social media, Walker-Barnes took to Twitter to defend herself by claiming the prayer was modeled after Psalms.

The self-proclaimed theologian went on to claim that her prayer was intended “to be true to the biblical mandate for peace, justice, & reconciliation” even though she said she did not think such an end was “possible.”
