He’s been in the senate for less than a month and he’s already in a serious investigation for misconduct.
Democrat Senator Raphael Warnock (D-GA) is under investigation in his own state over allegations that an organization that he was a part of engaged in voter registration misconduct.
This comes as serious allegations of election fraud have been argued by President Trump and numerous instances of apparent attempts to steal votes.
According to a new report from AJC “the State Election Board voted Wednesday to move forward with a case against U.S. Sen. Raphael Warnock and the New Georgia Project based on an allegation that the organization was slow to deliver over 1,200 voter registration applications to election officials in 2019.”
Per the report “the board referred the case to the attorney general’s office for further investigation and potential prosecution.”
Warnock defeated Republican Senator Kelly Loeffler in one of two runoff elections last month that determined control of the Senate.
He has been named as a respondent in the case as he was listed as the CEO for the New Georgia Project at the time.
