New reports are pouring in that the Pentagon has abruptly ceased briefing with Biden’s transition team Friday!
The move clearly caught Biden and his team off guard.
Acting Defense Secretary Chris Miller ordered a Pentagon-wide halt to cooperation with the transition of President-elect Biden, shocking officials across the Defense Department, senior administration officials tell Axios.
Behind the scenes: A top Biden official was unaware of the directive. Administration officials left open the possibility cooperation would resume after a holiday pause. The officials were unsure what prompted Miller’s action, or whether President Trump approved.
Why it matters: Miller’s move, which stunned officials throughout the Pentagon, was the biggest eruption yet of animus and mistrust toward the Biden team from the top level of the Trump administration.
What happened: Meetings between President Trump’s team and the Biden team are going on throughout the government, after a delayed start as the administration dragged its feet on officially recognizing Biden as president-elect.
Then on Thursday night, Miller — who was appointed Nov. 9, when Trump fired Defense Secretary Mark Esper right after the election — ordered officials throughout the building to cancel scheduled transition meetings.
This is a clear signal that serious doubts over Biden’s “victory” are present with more than President Trump and the GOP. Ears are listening and the truth about the election being stolen is coming to light!
The news comes as President Donald Trump continues to push back against the 2020 election results. On Tuesday morning, President Trump unleashed a Twitter storm in response to Monday’s electoral vote, promising that there is “much more to come.”
“Tremendous problems being found with voting machines. They are so far off it is ridiculous,” President Trump tweeted. “This is not what the USA is all about. Law enforcement shielding machines. DO NOT TAMPER, a crime. Much more to come!”
“68% error rate in Michigan Voting Machines. Should be, by law, a tiny percentage of one percent. Did Michigan Secretary of State break the law?” he added in another tweet. “Stay tuned!”
The president also retweeted a tweet from attorney Lin Wood, featuring a photoshopped photo of Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp and Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger wearing China masks.
“President Trump is a genuinely good man,” Wood’s tweet read. “He does not really like to fire people. I bet he dislikes putting people in jail, especially “Republicans.” He gave @BrianKempGA & @GaSecofState every chance to get it right. They refused. They will soon be going to jail.”
