Imagine losing a popularity contest to a turnip, what would you do? Can you even begin to imagine how humiliating that would be? Well, people like Cory Booker, Bill de Blasio, Pete Buttigieg, Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris*, Kristian Gillibrand, Amy Klobuchar, Tulsi Gabbard, Beto O’Rourke, Bernie Sanders, Eric Swalwell, and a host of even more obscure individuals with last names like Sestek, Williamson, Yang, Patrick and a player to be named later have a pretty good idea
It would seem like the best thing for anyone who lost to Mr. Excitement (aka Joe Biden) to do would be to slink off to a corner and cry themselves to sleep every night for a month or so, while gradually fading away into obscurity. The best these individuals could hope for would be eventually becoming the answer to inane trivia questions such as “Which 2020 Democratic Presidential candidate reportedly opposed Medicare and wealth taxes?”. Of course, that would be a trick question as the answer would be “Mike Bloomberg,” who did not make the list provided in the first paragraph because his campaign was self-funded, and his debate performance (to put it kindly) was at best, well, dismal. In fact, Bloomberg is the only primary participant whose campaign was so awful that he deserved to lose to Joe Biden
So, of course, this herd of also-rans quietly faded into the night, allowing the candidate who won their parties nomination to grab the spotlight and keep it for the next couple of months until the big election, right? Well, not so much. Rather than spending their time cheering on Joe Biden (an admittedly unpleasant task for anyone), it would appear that many of these candidates spent time reexamining their respective lives. After all, it took a little while for the reality of the situation to sink in. As everyone knows, the primary process is just a big popularity contest to begin with, and who wants to be less popular than a man with slightly less charisma than a boulder. That must have been a very bitter pill to swallow indeed
So these pathetic primary non-achievers picked themselves up, brushed themselves off, and took to social media in a somewhat desperate attempt to prove themselves worthy of….well of being noticed if nothing else.
Take Cory Booker for example, Booker who is running for reelection on the popular Liberal platform of hating Donald Trump, recently tweeted the following nonsense foolishness ummm, observation
Wait a minute! When did New Jersey become a country?!?!?! Doesn’t Booker have any vision for fixing the State that he, you know, represents? It would seem that Booker (like many of these failed candidates) still harbors aspirations of holding a national office and to hell with the place he hails from.
Then we have Princess Cultural Appropriation Elizabeth Warren, her social media timelines don’t even mention her State, but she sure has her fingers in a lot of national politics, undoubtedly this is a necessary evil for a U.S. Senator, but shouldn’t she have some concerns for what occurs in the State she represents? Of course, like all good Liberal Progressives, Warren is on the “Blame Trump for Everything” Bandwagon
Bill de Blasio deserves some credit for at least tweeting about the city he receives a relatively large paycheck to represent. His timeline consists primarily of tweets that center around Coronavirus (really) and ‘heroes’ such as the Brooklyn Nets basketball organization who have offered up their team facilities to serve as voting centers.
He also tweets about the importance of wearing masks
Apparently, he ran out of room to clarify his Tweet by saying something like, “Unless you are Speaker of the House or some other important liberal politician,” but of course, everyone assumes that.
Pete whatshisname, former Mayor of South Bend, has at least expressed his support for Joe Biden, which, when you think about it, resembles cheering the Titanic by saying things like “C’mon Titanic, you can do it!!”. But make no mistake about it, Pete still wants you to know that he is interested in a seat at the grown-up table, and in keeping with the highest standards (standards? Ha, we joke) of liberals everywhere, the guy hates himself some Donald Trump
Pretty heady stuff coming from the “I used to be somebody” guy.
Another name that is rather difficult to remember (maybe we are intentionally trying to block it out) is Beto O’Rourke. Beto has been busy endorsing candidates all over America, and you know with Beto’s popularity, an endorsement from him is like money in the bank, as this tweet clearly demonstrates

Of course, if you needed a reminder as to why he lost, here is another recent O’Rourke tweet
Ummm Beto, if you take an AR-15 to war, your going to lose the war……. just saying.
Which brings us to Tulsi Gabbard, who as a liberal candidate was kind of scary as she seemed to possess a scant amount of common sense, for instance, there is this tweet
Of course, possession of any amount of common sense, or any sense at all for that matter, not only ruined her chances of securing the Democratic nomination, it also resulted in her banning from participating in the convention in any capacity
Amy Klobuchar, who represents the great State of Minnesota, and has been doing a bang-up job in quelling violence there (totally kidding), also remains firmly on the “Blame Trump” team, but at least she mentions her party’s candidate by name
But while running out of space on her tweets to condemn the violence in her State (something familiar to liberal politicians), and missing the chance to mention the failures of Minnesota’s government at the local and State level, she does manage to ding President Trump on that also

Bernie Sanders, who is roughly 97 years old, still maintains hopes of turning America Red, not as in Republican, but as in Marxist/Communist. It is terrifying to think that Sanders (the little muppet impersonator) represents the more moderate radical Marxists in the ever-growing and increasingly insane wing of the Democratic party.
Of course, not to be outdone by the other crazy assed ummm radical members of his party, Bernie tweets about hating Trump, which represents the extent of the ideas that Democratic politicians are running on this year

It appears as if the majority of individuals who ran for the Democratic nomination in 2020 are still trying to influence national politics. To what point? Sure, some of it can be attributed to their narcissistic (make that highly narcissistic) personalities. Still, it is unlikely that they are only trying to stay relevant to …… well to stay relevant. What else could be on the measly little minds of our minion like (just not as cute) passel of Liberal also-rans?
Could it be that they have read the handwriting on the wall and realize that the Biden/Harris ticket is doomed? If history is any indicator, most Democratic politicians don’t even begin to act as if they like this country until within a couple of years from an election.
Perhaps these smarmy, self-serving, self-absorbed, disingenuous, and downright dangerous political reprobates are smarter than we give them credit for (they certainly can’t be any dumber). It is conceivable that these liberals know that the Trump ticket is unbeatable (despite everything the Democratic party has done to derail it).
With a few exceptions (looking at you, Mike Bloomberg), none of our underachievers have been any less of a disagreeable candidate than Joe Biden (believe it or not). For all we know, secret meetings can be taking place right now, plotting out 2024 strategies, and none of this would happen if liberals thought the Biden ticket had a snowball’s (or snowflake’s if you prefer) chance in hell of winning in November.
It’s readily apparent that Liberals are totally preparing themselves for a Biden loss, and so are we.
