In that Seattle dystopian zone, or autonomous zone or whatever they’re calling it now, which was created by taking over a police precinct building and blocking the city and the police from entering a multi-block radius, a person has been shot and killed. Another has been injured.
Officers were PREVENTED from providing aid, according to the report on the police blotter.
On June 20th, at approximately 2:30 AM, East Precinct officers responded to a report of shots fired in Cal Anderson Park. This is inside the area referred to as the Capitol Hill Organized Protest (CHOP). Officers attempted to locate a shooting victim but were met by a violent crowd that prevented officers safe access to the victims.
The victims apparently made it to the hospital … eventually.
More, from the New York Post:
ideos recorded inside CHAZ showed volunteers scrambling to help the victims.
Police confirmed the shooting in a Twitter post Saturday, but offered no additional details.
Two gunshot victims were treated at Harborview Medical Center, spokeswoman Susan Gregg told the Seattle Times.
One died, she said, and the other was in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit.
A security employee working in the area reported seeing the shooter arrive in a black SUV and a 911 caller told police a man left the vehicle toting a rifle in the early morning hours at the end of Juneteenth celebrations, according to a local blog post.
Shot and killed. Guess that “Defund the Police” plan of using counselors and therapists instead of law enforcement has some kinks to work out.
Here’s a Fox News clip on the shooting, from this morning.
