WATCH: Trump Rocks Like A Boss In One Of His Most Epic Moments To Date!

Say your prayers, little one, don’t forget, my son

That “Hail To The Chief” is so done

When President Trump arrived to present Yankees pitching great Mariano Rivera with the Presidential Medal of Freedom, he strode into the room to the dulcet sounds of Metallica’s 1991 classic “Enter Sandman.”

The song was a yuge hit for Metallica, but became known to millions of non-headbangers when Rivera used it as his entrance song when coming onto the field.

Trump said today of Rivera, “He may be the greatest pitcher in the history of baseball… on behalf of this whole country, thank you very much for the great job you’ve done.” It seems that Trump is aware that Rivera is a native of Panama, dispelling nasty rumors that the president is anti-immigrant or Latinophobic.

The Medal of Freedom is the highest civilian award in the United States.

It pains this St. Louis Cardinals fan to admit it, but Rivera might indeed be the greatest pitcher in MLB history — relief or otherwise — with five World Series championships, 13 All-Star Game appearances, and a record 652 career saves. If we ever add anything else to Mount Rushmore, it ought to be Rivera’s right arm.

No official word on whether the “Enter Sandman” was cranked to 11, or played at regular maximum volume.

Here’s how I used to play it back in my DJ days.
