Despite How Much The Liberal Media Cries ‘Racist’, Trump’s Approval With Minorities Holds STRONG!

If there’s been one unified theme from the establishment media over the last year, it’s this: “Donald Trump is a racist.”

On nearly every news channel across the country, pundits have breathlessly insisted that the president of the United States is a bigot, a wildly unpopular figure who is one step away from being tossed out of the White House.

Major politicians have also joined in that chorus, with 2020 hopefuls like Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren openly declaring that the president is a white supremacist. Other prominent voices have implied that anyone who defends Trump is automatically a racist. But all this ranting is falling on deaf ears.

Despite the left’s best efforts, the tired claims about how terrible Trump is have not been reflected in polling. Respected survey group Zogby Analytics just found that the president is viewed favorably by the majority of likely voters — and he’s also doing amazingly well with black and Hispanic Americans.

“President Trump’s job approval has continued to rise the last few months,” Zogby reported last week. “Overall, a slim majority (51%–27% strongly and 24% somewhat approve) of likely voters approve of Trump’s job as president.”

Those numbers aren’t earth-shattering, but they are significantly higher than you might have guessed after listening to outlets like CNN all day. (But then again, why would you?)

And get this: That 51 percent approval rating comes after some of the most unfavorable media coverage of Trump to date — in the wake of the El Paso mass shooting.

Many media sources and public figures scrambled to connect Trump to the tragic Aug. 3 shooting, in which a lone gunman is said to have purposely targeted Hispanics at a Texas Walmart.

The accused shooter had only vague connections to Trump, barely mentioning him in a lengthy manifesto he allegedly posted just before the shooting. The suspect was far more motivated by global trends, the Christchurch shooting in New Zealand, and environmental concerns than he was by the president, yet pundits tripped over themselves to claim that anybody still supporting Trump was a hateful racist.

That must come as a surprise to actual Hispanic voters. The Zogby poll — which was conducted around a week after the shooting — found that the president has strong support from Latinos, a fact that directly contradicts the establishment media narrative.
