Jill Biden, wife of 2020 candidate for president Joe Biden, is now telling Democrat voters that if they want to beat Trump they might have to “swallow a little” and vote for her husband even though other candidates might be better:
YAHOO NEWS – Former second lady Jill Biden made an unusually honest pitch to voters on Monday for her husband to be the 2020 Democratic presidential nominee.
“I know that not all of you are committed to my husband, and I respect that,” she said at a campaign event in Nashua, N.H. “But I want you to think about your candidate, his or her electability, and who’s going to win this race.”
“Your candidate might be better on, I don’t know, health care, than Joe is,” she continued. “But you’ve got to look at who’s going to win this election. And maybe you have to swallow a little bit and say, ‘OK, I personally like so and so better,’ but your bottom line has to be that we have to beat Trump.”
She added: “So I think if your goal — I know my goal — is to beat Donald Trump, we have to have someone who can beat him.”
Wow. I’m betting Joe Biden wishes he could get that back.
What’s hilarious about this is that Biden is leading all the polls and in many of them he’s leading by a huge margin. The last thing you would think he’d need is a speech of desperation from his wife, which is what this sounds like.
