MSNBC has announced the lineups for the Democratic debates and it is as I suspected. They are debating ten candidates on the first night and ten candidates on the second.
Here’s the lineup:

Here’s how they decided the matchups for the debates:
To decide the matchups, candidates’ names were drawn manually at NBC News’ headquarters at 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York. One representative of each of the qualifying campaigns was invited to attend the draw along with officials from the Democratic National Committee. Campaign representatives saw their respective candidate’s paper slip with their name on it before it was folded and placed inside the box.
They are trying to keep this from turning into a Democratic cat fight. Yeah, good luck with that. Ten people on stage is gonna be a difficult debate, as we’ve seen in the past.
