The booty-judge went after Evangelical Christians and the hypocrisy of supporting someone with the character of the Trumpy one.

Pete Buttigieg, the mayor of South Bend, Ind., and likely 2020 Democratic presidential candidate, on Sunday criticized what he called “hypocrisy” among evangelical Christians who support President Trump.
Buttigieg, who is a Christian, said during an interview on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that Trump “acts in a way” that is inconsistent with what he hears in church.
OK. So we have to make some distinctions here. He’s right in saying that Trump has led less than a virtuous life. He is definitely not someone that Christians should emulate. But does that mean we can’t support him as president? Well… yes and no.
“It’s something that really frustrates me because the hypocrisy is unbelievable,” he said of evangelical support for Trump. “Here you have somebody who not only acts in a way that is not consistent with anything that I hear in scripture or in church, where it’s about lifting up the least among us and taking care of strangers, which is another word for immigrants, and making sure that you’re focusing your effort on the poor.”
Now THIS, is absurd. There is nothing in scripture that says Christ would support utter lawlessness when it comes to borders. It’s a dumb position and people like Booty-judge and others just say it because it sounds good. It’s utterly irrational.
“But also personally how you’re supposed to conduct yourself,” he added, saying that Trump is at odds with a religion that calls for “humbling yourself before others.”
Well. Yes. Here he’s got a point. Trump seems to go out of his way to be an example of many the vices Christians should try to avoid. However, we don’t really have a choice in this next election. It’s not like we can simply replace Trump with Ted Cruz or someone else. The choice is binary. I am reminded of a quote from Martin Luther when he said that he was willing to be ruled by even a Muslim, if they ruled wisely. Well, in this case, I know that the Democrats are so extreme and insane that they make the choice pretty simple for many of us. Even if we object to his personal character.
