How DISINGENUOUS! Alyssa Milano Quickly Jumps On Bandwagon Condemning The Smollett Hoax After She Adamantly Took His Side!

Actress-turned-full-time political activist Alyssa Milano is having a hard time with reports indicating “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett might have staged the hate crime attack that he claimed was carried out by two white Trump supporters.

On Sunday, Milano took to Twitter to voice her amazement that Smollett’s dubious account of the hate crime was potentially bogus.

“If that man staged his own attack he is wrong in so many ways,” posted the actress. “No one could be that hurtful? To stage this? Right?”

Milano continued: “To f*** with all of us by playing into our weaknesses & make it even harder for victims to come forward?! No one could choose to be that hurtful? Right?! RIGHT?”

The “Charmed” actress was quick to jump on the story as fact on January 29, the day of the alleged attack.

“I’ve been trying to figure out all day what to say about the racist, homophobic, violence against [Jussie Smollett],” Milano posted her to her 3.5 million-plus Twitter followers. “Not sure I can describe what I’m feeling in a neat & tidy tweet. His trauma deserves more.”

“I’m sad. Living together on the planet shouldn’t be this difficult,” she added.

Smollett claims he was targeted and jumped by two white Trump supporters in downtown Chicago after leaving a Subway sandwich shop at around 2:30 a.m. The men called him a “n*****” and a “f*****” and told him this was “MAGA country,” he has claimed. The actor also says the men kicked him in the ribs, tied a noose around his neck, and poured bleach on him.

New reporting, however, suggests Smollett hired two Nigerian men to stage the attack on him after a threatening “MAGA” letter he received at work did not generate enough media attention.

Milano has a habit of falling for dubious stories when they fit nicely with the anti-Trump, left-wing narrative.

At the end of January, predating the alleged Smollett attack, Milano fell for the fake news surrounding Catholic schoolboys from Covington High School leaving the March for Life in Washington, D.C. Though full video context would show that the boys, some who happened to be wearing pro-Trump “MAGA” hats (a grave sin, alas), were harassed by an activist group and approached by Native American Nathan Phillips, Milano played up the narrative that the boys were the harassers.

“The red MAGA hat is the new white hood,” she wrote on Twitter. “Without white boys being able to empathize with other people, humanity will continue to destroy itself. #FirstThoughtsWhenIWakeUp.”

Moreover, even after she was proven wrong, Milano doubled-down on her harsh language targeted at children. In an op-ed at The Wrap, Milano wrote:

I sent out a tweet that read, “The red MAGA hat is the new white hood.” Right-wing pundits and anonymous trolls alike screamed for my head–literally and figuratively. My husband received death threats on his cell phone. Many demanded an apology.

Here’s the thing: I was right.

So, I won’t apologize to these boys. Or anyone who wears that hat. But I will thank them. I will thank them for lighting a fire underneath the conversation about systemic racism and misogyny in this country and the role President Donald Trump has had in cultivating it and making it acceptable.

In mature fashion, she concluded the post: “Sorry not sorry.”
