Did he or didn’t he?
For the record right from the onset, he probably didn’t. But you know the internet — some think he did.
A short video recently went viral showing beloved Sesame Street character Grover saying “That sounds like an excellent idea.” That’s also what was written in the the script.
But some people heard Grover say: “That’s a f–kin’ excellent idea.”
Take a listen for yourself below.
Grover is the best!!! I hear it both ways. But the “that’s a F’n excellent idea” is amazing. While “it sounds like an excellent idea” is what he really says. pic.twitter.com/9hOYde5460

Debate began immediately.
Initially I could only hear the “f-word” version but after I paid more attention to the “s” sounds in his statement, I can now only hear the “clean” version.

I only hear the f-bomb. Does that make me a bad person 😄😄

I heard it the first 5 times I watched it then I couldn’t hear it anymore, it only sounded like he said “that sounds like an excellent idea” after I heard it the other 5 times.

First couple of times I listen to it, I hear the f bomb, but then I hear “sounds like” and can’t hear anything else 🤷🏼♀️

Some said it was both.
Right. Just say it both ways along with the video and it’s clear both ways.

But this Twitterer got it exactly right.
I guess we have to end 2018 with something
