As the race for Florida governor heats up between GOP candidate Ron DeSantis and Democrat Andrew Gillum, the stakes are getting higher and the polls are getting tighter. The race appears to be neck and neck.
A new undercover video, however, may change that:
Gillum, has been called a socialist by many. As the article in The Capitolist points out, he is defined by the “company” he keeps.
….Two of Gillum’s most eyebrow-raising endorsements: one from avowed socialist Bernie Sanders, and one from avowed socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
Undoubtedly, both Sanders and Ocasio-Cortez support Gillum because Gillum’s extreme progressive views are closest to their own.
In keeping with this “hard left” theme, conservative investigative reporting group “Project Veritas” has put out a new undercover video exposing Gillum’s staff revealing how far left he is, and how the campaign is working to hide that fact from the American people.
James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas released a bombshell video on Wednesday night that showed staffers for Florida Democratic gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum revealing just how far-left he is and how the campaign is trying to hide that from voters.
Omar Smith, a campaign staffer for Gillum, said that if elected, “None of the programs that people are hoping for would happen” but “that’s not for [voters] to know.”
“Gillum is a Progressive,” Smith continued. “He is a part of the crazy, crazy, crazies.”
Smith repeatedly referred to white people as “crackers,” saying that Florida is a F**ked up…cracker state,” and that the campaign has “to appeal to white guilt.”
Smith added that Gillum’s agenda “will never happen.”
“So, let’s go back to Mr. Gillum’s platform, right?” Smith continued. “Raise the corporate tax in Florida from 7 to 11 percent. That will never happen. Raise teacher’s pay to $50,000, that will never happen. Give me another position. Medicare for all, that will never happen.”
Adrian Young, who works for the Florida Democratic Party, revealed that Gillum does not support the Second Amendment and wants to push for far-left bans on common firearms and accessories.
“I do think he’s not saying specifically like I’m going to ban bump stocks or I’m against ARs, only because he’s running a race right now,” Young said. “I do think he would support anybody doing that stuff, Bill Nelson… But I don’t think he can say it just [be]cause he’s trying to get the moderates and the gun-toting people in North Florida.”
