Trump spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham said the show needed to check its facts before going with base speculation and ripped it for a second day “of attacks.”
The fight began when Brown, who was filling in on the show for “The View” host Joy Behar, at one point suggested that Melania Trump might not be upset about the president’s affairs because she might have been involved with the president while he was already married.
“Is it possible that she’s not concerned with his mistresses because she was one of them?” asked Brown.
Grisham offered a blistering response.
Day 2 of attacks from @TheView. @YNB check your facts before you accuse someone of being a mistress. She’s your @FLOTUS – she deserves your respect & certainly not your lies. Disgusting. #disrespectful #accusation #LiberalMedia @TomLlamasABC @ABCWorldNews

In an interview with ABC, Melania Trump was asked about her husband’s alleged infidelity and whether it had hurt their marriage.
“It is not a concern and focus of mine,” the first lady said in response to ABC reporter Tom Llamas, who appeared on “The View” to discuss the interview.
Grisham’s tweet also included hashtags for Llamas and ABC News, which oversees “The View.”
Grisham also slammed The View on Thursday for its criticism of the first lady.
On Thursday, the show tore into Melania Trump’s assertion in another part of the interview with Llamas that while she does stand with women, evidence must also be provided when it comes to sexual assault allegations.
“I do stand with women, but we need to show the evidence,” Trump said in the interview that aired Wednesday night. “You cannot just say to somebody I was sexually assaulted.”
Brown, also filling in on Thursday, responded to the first lady after the clip was played by broaching her husband being “credibly accused by at least 17 women.”
“Also, this woman, she has an orange horse in the race, and her orange horse has been accused credibly by at least 17 women. This is also the same woman that in the midst of what happened in Puerto Rico wore a jacket that said I really don’t care, do you? When she threw down that gauntlet, I’ve decided not to care about anything she says from now on,” Brown said.
“Typical attack on the @flotus at @theview. Heaven forbid they talk about her successful trip & the children she met & helped,” Grisham wrote.
