Christine Blasey Ford, the liberal California professor who’s accusing Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her 36 years ago, is demanding a “full FBI investigation” before she agrees to grace Congress with her presence to testify.
Why doesn’t Ford just ask for $400 million in cash to be delivered in an unmarked cargo plane in the dead of night while she’s at it? Oh yeah — because Barack Obama is no longer president.
“There should be an investigation, because that’s the right thing to do,” Ford’s lawyer, Lisa Banks, told CNN. “There should be no rush to a hearing.” But apparently, there should be a rush to condemn and defame a highly respected federal judge at the 11th hour before his SCOTUS confirmation vote.
Banks claims Christine Blasey Ford is reluctant to testify before Congress — even behind closed doors — because she’s afraid of public backlash. You know, the same kind of harassment and bullying that Judge Brett Kavanaugh, his wife, and two young daughters are now dealing with because of Ford’s unsubstantiated accusations.
“It’s premature to talk about a hearing on Monday,” Banks said. “I think people understand that. Because she has been dealing with the threats, the harassment, and the safety of her family. And that’s what she’s been focused on for the last two days.”
In a letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee, Ford demanded a full investigation:
“An FBI investigation of the incident should be the first step in addressing her allegations. A full investigation by law enforcement officials will ensure that the crucial facts and witnesses in this matter are assessed in a non-partisan manner, and that the Committee is fully informed before conducting any hearing or making any decisions.”

CNN pundit Anderson Cooper asked: “Are you saying there has to be an investigation by the FBI or else Professor Ford will not testify?”
Banks replied: “There’s no reason that we should have a public hearing on Monday, given what has occurred, and when it has occurred. This is being rushed through, and it’s too important to be rushed through. It’s not a game. This is a serious situation.”
By now, it should be patently obvious that Ford’s dubious accusations — which were brought at the last minute before the Senate was to vote on President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee — is a transparent delay tactic to keep Kavanaugh off the bench.
I wonder how Christine Blakey Ford’s husband Russell feels knowing she wasn’t an alcoholic slut in high school.Proud of the fact that since age 11 to her college years she had at least 64 sexual par tenets.

Republican leaders have stood uncharacteristically firm by insisting that they will move forward with the vote if Ford chooses not to testify.
Senator John Cornyn said Ford is not in any position to make demands or set preconditions in light of the fact that she sat on these accusations for 36 years.
Chuck Grassley, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, said Christine Blasey Ford is invited to testify on September 24, and pointed out that “nothing the FBI or any other investigator does would have any bearing on what Dr. Ford tells the committee, so there is no reason for any further delay.”
Senators Bob Corker and Jeff Flake — who previously dragged their heels — now insist they will move forward with a vote if Ford refuses to show up and testify on her own behalf.
After learning of the allegation, Chairman @ChuckGrassley took immediate action to ensure both Dr. Ford and Judge Kavanaugh have the opportunity to be heard, in public or private. Republicans extended a hand in good faith. If we don’t hear from both sides on Monday, let’s vote.

Senator Lindsey Graham slammed the Democratic delay tactics and urged “a committee vote be taken ASAP.”
Requiring an FBI investigation of a 36 year old allegation (without specific references to time or location) before Professor Ford will appear before the Judiciary Committee is not about finding the truth, but delaying the process till after the midterm elections.

Keep in mind that the statue of limitations expired long ago on Ford’s decades-old accusations, and a thorough FBI investigation would be almost impossible because the alleged incident occurred 36 years ago.
JudgeKavanaugh has already undergone six FBI background checks over the years.
There were three people in the room when the incident supposedly occurred: Ford, Kavanaugh, and Kavanaugh’s high school classmate, a man named Mark Judge.
In a letter, Mark Judge denied the incident occurred, saying: “I have no memory of this alleged incident. Brett Kavanaugh and I were friends in high school but I do not recall the party described in Dr. Ford’s letter. More to the point, I never saw Brett act in the manner Dr. Ford describes.”
