COMPLETE INSANITY: Supporters Of Ocasio-Cortez’s Socialist Agenda Completely Clueless On Who Would Pay For ‘All That Free Stuff’

With congressional candidate and self-proclaimed democratic socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez making big promises to voters, Campus Reformvisited the district she’s running in to ask how taxpayers will pay for them.

According to her campaign website, Ocasio-Cortez wants a medicare for all plan, a federal jobs guarantee with a $15 minimum wage and tuition-free public colleges.

After presenting her platform to voters in New York’s 14th congressional district, many said they support the government funding her ideas. Campus Reform’s Cabot Phillips then asked how they are going to pay for them.

“Oh god,” one woman reacted. “I mean…us. I guess.”

“Well, some of it should come from taxes, but the government should pay for it,” another woman responded.

“But the government is funded by taxes,” Phillips pointed out.

“I don’t know where the money would come from, but they can figure it out,” one man said.

Many of those interviewed said the money to pay for the new programs should come from the wealthy and corporations.

When asked about Venezuela and how socialism has failed there, some admitted the situation worries them.

“I don’t know too much about Venezuela, honey,” one man admitted. “Are they still communist right now?”

Ocasio-Cortez herself was asked how she was going to pay for her ideas in a recent interview with “The Daily Show.” She replied:

“But one of the things that we saw is, if people pay their fair share, if corporations and the ultra-wealthy […] if we reverse the tax bill, but raised our corporate tax rate to 28 percent, which is not even as high as it was before, if we do those two things and also close some of those loopholes, that’s $2 trillion right there.”

She also suggested redirecting funds away from the Department of Defense’s budget and then falsely claimed the military was given a $700 billion increase, with the actual budget being around $700 billion.
