The Virginia restaurant that asked White House press secretary Sarah Sanders to leave over her work in the Trump administration reopened Thursday night, with demonstrators waiting outside.
From Washington Examiner:
It’s the first time in nearly two weeks the Red Hen in Lexington has served customers, USA Today reported. Protesters swarmed the restaurant after Sanders and Trump criticized its decision to refuse Sanders service.
Customers who did not have a reservation Thursday night were turned away. A sign on the door said the Red Hen was booked for the night.
“This’ll be closed within a year!” one man shouted, according to the publication.
“We’ll keep it open!” a woman replied.
