As Mueller’s Witch Hunt Crashes And Burns, Trump Sends DIRE WARNING To Democrats

President Donald Trump hit Special Counsel Robert Mueller hard on Monday, calling his investigation the “Russian Witch Hunt,” and claiming that since there is no proof of collusion, Mueller’s trying to hang an obstruction charge on him for a “phony crime.”

“The Russia Witch Hunt is rapidly losing credibility,” he tweeted. “House Intelligence Committee found No Collusion, Coordination or anything else with Russia. So now the Probe says OK, what else is there? How about Obstruction for a made up, phony crime. There is no O, it’s called Fighting Back.”

President Trump posted a second tweet, directed at “13 angry Democrats,” warning the court system “protects people from injustice,” a clear reference to a federal judge suggesting on Friday that Mueller may have overstepped his authority in the case against Paul Manafort in the quest to topple Trump from office.

“The 13 Angry Democrats in charge of the Russian Witch Hunt are starting to find out that there is a Court System in place that actually protects people from injustice…and just wait ‘till the Courts get to see your unrevealed Conflicts of Interest,” Trump said in the second tweet.

Fox News reported the “13 Democrats” are roughly 13 attorneys on Mueller’s team, who “have made political donations to Democratic candidates and interests—with at least seven donating to Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, and the campaigns of former President Barack Obama.”

The president revisited the “phony witch hunt” two hours later in yet another tweet, calling attention to the intent of Democrats, which he said is to drag out the Russian investigation long enough “so it wrongfully impacts” the mid-term elections.

Trump warned Republicans they “better get tough and smart before it is too late!”

“Is this Phony Witch Hunt going to go on even longer so it wrongfully impacts the Mid-Term Elections, which is what the Democrats always intended? Republicans better get tough and smart before it is too late!” he tweeted.

Whether this tweet is an indication of pushback Trump may be receiving from GOP leadership on firing Mueller remains to be seen.

One thing seems certain, the dog days of summer promise to be rife with intrigue.
