Gun violence is an issue, I would agree. However, I DO NOT believe that banning guns or taking away the second amendment will fix anything, rather, it will make worse scenarios possible.
Many Liberals and Democrats would argue that guns and white people are a large problem and the drive behind the deaths of innocent people and children. I would like to arm you with some statistics and then pose a more pressing question, in my opinion.
Since 1966, apparently only 150 mass shootings (4 people or more) have occurred in the United States with a total of 1,077 deaths.
Since Roe v. Wade in 1973 more than 60 million abortions have been completed in the United States alone.
By no means do I aim to downplay the tragedies that INDIVIDUALS have produced, choosing to kill innocent Americans with guns. I simply feel the problem is the individual and not the weapon. What I would like to do is to shine perspective on what people pick-and-choose to shine a political light upon. If we are worried about our children and protecting lives, then obviously Pro-Abortion advocates who hop on the gun ban bandwagon have their perspective skewed.
Now, with these statistics in mind…which issue is the bigger problem, abortions or gun violence?
