The Democratic Party continues to get hammered within its own radical left base for caving to the GOP on the Senate budget deal, while Trump and the GOP are reaping the benefits of the “victory.”

The Democrats eventually weren’t able to gaslight the American people for more than three days, this time, about holding the government budget hostage just to pass ex-President Obama’s unconstitutional Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals.
Many Americans, rightly, interpreted this as the Democratic Party shutting down the government because it “cared more about illegal aliens than hard-working Americans.”
As Rich Lowry aptly wrote at National Review about Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer:
[Schumer’s] embarrassing climbdown after a short, mostly weekend shutdown shows the limits of the resistance. Yes, an anti-Trump midterm wave appears to be building, and Democratic activists — marching in the streets by the tens of thousands and badgering Republicans at town-hall meetings — are energized. But this doesn’t mean that Democrats can act with impunity so long as they are fighting under an anti-Trump banner.
A national poll only bore out what people already knew about illegal immigration: Americans oppose it. As pointed out at Ace of Spades:
Eighty-one percent of Americans want one million or fewer legal immigrants to the United States per year, according to new polling data released Monday by the Harvard-Harris poll, a number lower than the 1.38 million who came to the United States in 2015.
The plurality of respondents, 35 percent, think that there should be between 1 and 250,000 legal immigrants arriving to the United States per year. A net 12 percent want to see immigration increased to 1.5 million people per year or more, while nine percent of Americans think that there should be no new legal immigrants.
This poll boils down to 4 in 5 Americans wanting less immigration. Surprised you didn’t hear that in the mainstream media this afternoon?
Speaking of which, the Democratic Party continues to get slammed in the mainstream press over its perceived capitulation.

The Democratic Party continues to be relentlessly hammered in the press.
