Senators Tom Cotton (R-AR) and David Perdue (R-GA) have stated that they do not recall President Trump using the specific commentary used by Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) to describe African nations.
From Conservative Post:
Pressed about whether the President called African nations “shitholes”… Senators Tom Cotton and David Perdue say they don’t recall “the President saying these comments” but what they do recall is that the President did “call out the imbalance in our immigration system”
This is what he writes: In regards to Senator Durin’s accusation, we don’t recall the President saying these comments specifically buy what he did call out was the imbalance in our current immigration system, which does not protect American workers and our national interests.
We along with the President, are commited to solving an issue many in Congress have failed to deliver on for decades.
It’s not at all unlike the liberal media to take a statement by anyone at face value, and then run with it until it become national news. Apparently that’s what has happened with Trump’s comments during the Amnesty meeting.
