According to an NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist poll, Oprah Winfrey would beat Trump in the upcoming 2020 presidential election, with a 50 to 39 percent win. Despite these results, 40 percent of Democrats and 77 percent of Republicans would be AGAINST her running at all.

The popular former talk show host caused speculation about a potential White House run after accepting the Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2018 Golden Globes Sunday, reported CBS News.

“For too long, women have not been heard or believed if they dared to speak their truth to the power of those men,” Winfrey said. “But their time is up. Their time is up!”

Winfrey’s speech also referenced the #MeToo movement to protest sexual harassment and assault. Many actors and actresses wore black for the Golden Globes to protest sexual harassment in the entertainment industry.
