Liberals would love to take all the sexual assault accusations against President Trump at face value, lest they quickly fall apart under scrutiny.
In a stunning revelation, Jill Harth, a New York cosmetic executive who claimed the President sexually assaulted her in the 1990s, was found to have contacted then-candidate Trump during the 2016 election to solicit a business opportunity.
In emails Harth herself authenticated for The Hill, the make-up artist reached out to Trump assistant Rhona Graff repeatedly between the summer of 2015 and early 2016 with offers to work for the campaign.
“Hi Donald, you are doing a tremendous job of shaking things up in the United States,” Harth wrote on October 1, 2015. “I am definitely on Team Trump as so many others are.”
She followed her cordial introduction with a request.
“I can’t watch television without seeing you or hearing your name everywhere! It’s a good thing for sure but PLEASE let me do your makeup for a television interview, a debate, a photo session, anything!”
In the email, Harth pitched her men’s makeup line, Made Man, and suggested her products and skills would improve the presidential contender’s appearance.
“It kills me to see you looking too orange and with white circles under the eyes. I will get your skin looking smoother and even toned,” Harth wrote.

Harth filed and later withdrew a lawsuit against the future President in 1997, in which she alleged he pushed her against a wall and groped her. She reiterated her allegations in the final weeks of the 2016 presidential race, after the publication of the Trump “Access Hollywood” tape, in which President Trump made crude remarks about women.
The accuser told The Hill that President Trump “acted like a ‘dog in heat’” and “ruined [her] marriage” in the 1990s. Despite the claims, she openly pursued a business relationship with the real estate magnate-turned-President prior to the release of the “Access Hollywood” tape.
In January of 2016, Harth again wrote to Graff ask for a one-on-one meeting with her alleged assaulter, stating “I would very much like to wish Donald well and show my support for his campaign personally. Could you arrange a quick hello for me?”
Harth gave The Hill an explanation of the apparent discrepancies in her behavior.
“Yes, I had moved on but had not forgotten the pain he brought into my life. I was older, wiser. Trump was married to Melania and I had hoped he was a changed man.
“I got no response so I abandoned the effort until I saw him on TV at a rally looking worse than ever. He looked like a clown with an orange face and white circles around his eyes. So, I sent another email volunteering to do his makeup for free. Still no response.”

The makeup artist claimed seeing President Trump publicly deny the 1997 assault charge motivated her to take her story to the media.
“I firmly believe Trump should resign or be investigated and impeached. Leopards don’t change their spots.”
Harth blasted The Hill for reporting on her emails, calling the outlet “Fake News,” as well as “an apologist for Trump and a rag for right-wing hit jobs.”
