Apparently “Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski is tired of boyfriend and co-host Joe Scarborough getting all of the attention for being a nut-job. How else to explain Brzezinski going off the deep end in terms of her many evolving views on sexual harassment?
On the one hand she wants to shame those who dared to accuse Al “Hard Hugging” Franken of sexual harassment as Newsbusters reported, yet on the other hand she ratchets up her hatred for Donald Trump.
The Newsbusters story focused on the extraordinary bias displayed on the “Morning Joe” show featuring Scarborough and Brzezinski In particular they outlined one episode of the show that aired around the time of the Franken non-resignation resignation (whatever that is). The story reveals that
“New York Times writer Bari Weiss was even brought on to complain about how “some innocent people are going to go down” as a result of what co-host Mika Brzezinski dubbed a “sex panic.” With so many liberal media and political figures biting the dust career-wise in recent weeks, the co-host also explicitly questioned the accuracy and honesty of Franken’s accusers, wondering repeatedly “if it happened” and whether “all women need to be believed.”
So if a popular (translate popular as “progressive liberal“) entertainer or politician is accused of harassment then wondering “if it happened” and if “all women need to be believed” is all well and good. But Mika and company most certainly do not apply this question of believably to all women alleging harassment, particularly if said allegations are made against a Republican politician or candidate for office.
Popular Fox News host Sean Hannity was eviscerated recently for expressing his desire to have the truth about the Roy Moore accusations “come out:” Media Matters launched a campaign against all of Hannity’s advertisers (again, see here and here) in hopes of getting them to pull their advertisements
Oddly enough no such campaign was launched against “Morning Joe” for actually shaming those who dared to accuse Al Franken of harassment, in fact the day after Hannity’s show
“Morning Joe devoted a significant portion of its show to labeling the Republicans as either the “party of pedophiles” or “child molesters” for not more vigorously opposing Moore’s candidacy”
Of course Franken’s accuser was not to be believed because according to Mika the woman was
“….a performer, Playboy model who goes on Hannity, who voted for Trump”
Well heck Mika, of course she shouldn’t be believed, voting for Trump and everything.
Before you start thinking that Mika couldn’t possibly be more hypocritical and biased – keep reading
Again, speaking of those who accuse liberal progressive politicians Mika remarked
“I’m just wondering if all women need to be believed. And I’m concerned that we are being the judge, the jury, and the cops here”
She (Mika) also went so far as to admonish Senate Democrats who (after sensing a political advantage to doing so) bravely remarked that Franken should step down, Mika rebuked them referring to them as
“….Senate Democrats getting ahead of their skis.”
She even went so far as to admonish her gal pal Kirsten Gilibrand as Mika was apparently annoyed that Gillibrand had (albeit very belatedly) suggested that Franken resign, and even went so far as to throw Hillary “What Happened?” Clinton under the bus after apparently squeezing all of the juice out of that particular lemon.
Mika rebuked Gillibrand saying
“…trust me, Kirsten Gillibrand, I want you to run for president, but you gotta keep it real”
Continuing with the hypocrisy that oozes from the “Morning Joe” show, Mika reversed fields and defended Gillibrand from what she (MIka) apparently considered being “literally sexually harassed” on Twitter.
Admittedly that sounds pretty bad, lets examine the horrible, disgusting, tweet that caused Mika to run to defend a woman she had so recently admonished to “keep it real”

Oddly enough, that doesn’t quite seem to rise to the level of sexual harassment that even asking for a woman’s phone number apparently does nowadays
But the “Morning Joe” co-host was adamant about how awful it ways, suggesting that
“Everybody else, working around the president, if your day is not consumed by getting him to take down that tweet, please leave. You’re worth nothing. You don’t care about this country. You don’t care about women.”
It’s hard to access how Trump’s tweet is so much worse than Franken’s photo (and other reported infractions). Actually anyone even slightly unbiased and (to use failed AG Eric Holder’s new favorite word) “apolitical” would quickly note the hypocrisy in Brzezinski’s conflicted stances.
Unfortunately, she (Mika) wasn’t done yet, Fox News reported that the highly offended talking head expanded her angst to include the main women in Donald Trumps life, his wife and daughter. According to Fox News Mika remarked that
“[Trump] should have apologized for being a sexist pig,” Brzezinski said. “And the women around him, his wife, who has a platform against cyber bullying, that’s a joke. That’s the saddest thing I’ve ever seen.”
Ivanka didn’t escape the Wrath of Brzezinski either as Mika also referred to Trump’s daughter saying that Ivanka
“… came to Washington… to develop a platform for women,” but has stood by her father.”
adding
“Go home. You’re doing nothing if you stand by this president,”
Interesting that Mika should say that FLOTUS’s anti-bullying program was the “saddest thing” she’s ever seen, Mika must have never watched her own show.
