On Tuesday morning, President Donald Trump set off a Twitter battle with flip-flopping queenSen. Kirsten Gillibrand (NY-D). Amid the back-and-forth, desperate 2020 presidential hopeful and phony Native American Sen. Elizabeth Warren (MA-D) chimed in to bizarrely scold President Trump for “slut-shaming” Gillibrand, though it’s unclear where (or even whether) Trump suggested Gillibrand was sexually promiscuous.
“Are you really trying to bully, intimidate and slut-shame @SenGillibrand? Do you know who you’re picking a fight with? Good luck with that, @realDonaldTrump,” wrote Warren, adding: “Nevertheless, #shepersisted.”

Warren was reacting to the following jab by President Trump: “Lightweight Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, a total flunky for Chuck Schumer and someone who would come to my office ‘begging’ for campaign contributions not so long ago (and would do anything for them), is now in the ring fighting against Trump. Very disloyal to Bill & Crooked-USED!”

We have to assume that Warren thought Trump’s “and would do anything for them” remark was referencing sexual favors, though it’s unclear why. Is it because Gillibrand happens to be a woman? That seems like a rather sexist assumption. Would she think the same thing if Trump said this about a male senator, which seems exactly like something Trump would do?
And to take it a step further: It appears Warren is assuming Gillibrand did actually offer and even fulfilled such sexual favors and is defending such alleged acts by calling Trump’s criticism “slut-shaming.”
In other words: Warren really botched this one.
Gillibrand, who will likely go on to use this Twitter battle with the President for future campaign contributions, hit Trump back by assuming the victim position: “You cannot silence me or the millions of women who have gotten off the sidelines to speak out about the unfitness and shame you have brought to the Oval Office,” she wrote.
