Lavar Ball Blames Son’s Two Month Game Suspension For Shoplifting On President Trump

LaVar Ball couldn’t get his son out of China without President Trump’s help. However, the professional loudmouth can and reportedly will, get his son out of UCLA.

Ball said on Monday that he intended to pull his son, LiAngelo, off the team and out of the school; over the indefinite suspension the school issued after LiAngelo’s role in shoplifting incident in China.

“He might as well be in jail,” LaVar Ball, LiAngelo’s father, told the Los Angeles Times. “I’m not going to let UCLA take the fire out of my boy by not letting him play for two months.

“We’re going to do some other options. I’m not going to let him sit back and not practice.”

LiAngelo Ball and two other players were arrested in China in November for shoplifting. After President Trump spoke with Chinese President Xi Jinping, the players were released and thanked Trump for his efforts.

However, LaVar Ball disputed that Trump had any role in gaining the players release, citing his own “boots on the ground” as being responsible for winning their freedom. That claim sparked a Twitter war of words between the elder Ball, and Trump.

UCLA coach Steve Alford could not be reached for comment, according to the Times.
