POLL: Should The Budget Bill Include ‘A Trigger’ To Raise Taxes Automatically If Revenue Is Not What Was Projected?

The deficit is obviously a huge problem that needs to be addressed, but Republicans do not agree on how we should handle this massive debt. Senators Bob Corker (R-TN) and Jeff Flake (R-AZ) are demanding that the tax reform bill include a trigger that automatically raises taxes in the future if tax receipts fall below projections. Others are saying raising taxes is never a good idea, and if there is not enough money to cover the budget then spending cuts are the answer. Do you think the budget bill should include a trigger to raise taxes automatically if revenue is not what it was projected to be?

What do you think?
