There is an old saying that you know when a liberal is lying because his/her lips are moving. That may very well be true and although liberals certainly say the same thing about Conservatives, it would appear the evidence points to the aphorism applying far more accurately to the former than the later. In any event it certainly bears taking note when the liberal hive mentality champions a cause – any cause.
The reasons for that are quite clear, nothing done by the liberal mob is done without some planned payback or benefit to the mob. Immigration is a great example.Lost in the morass of Pecan Pie controversy, Pocahontas and the typical alphabet soup network news bashing of everything Donald Trump did or said is a story that appeared on Brietbart.com concerning illegal aliens. The article (available here) discussed liberal efforts to provide illegal aliens with the same “respect and urgent support as soldiers on the battlefield”
In his article Neil Munro discussed
“…a group of 13 Democratic-affiliated national security officials who are urging Congress to extend the military’s promise of “leave no-one behind” to the several million illegal aliens who are now demanding an unconditional amnesty.”
A letter written to the four Congressional leaders by these 13 Democratic affiliated officials stated that
“With every day that passes, these Dreamers are getting closer to the reality of deportation. We urge you to pass the Dream Act of 2017 as quickly as possible to provide permanent protection for Dreamers and relieve this deserving group of the uncertainty created by the President’s decision to rescind DACA. We should leave no man or women behind. Let that be our guiding principle.”

“….would entitle 3.6 million illegal immigrants — including 690,000 DACA beneficiaries — full access to federal aid programs, a fast-track to the voting booth, and the right to bring in millions of their homeland chain-migration relatives, regardless of their job skills, health, age or ideology, or job-market impact on Americans”
What’s behind the liberal love of illegal immigrants? Is it actually indicative of a warm and loving heart possessed by all liberal progressives? The answer is, in a word: No.
The real reason behind the never ending praise and attempted canonization of illegal aliens is explained quite clearly by Munro
“In the last decade, Democrats and amnesty-advocates in the media have elevated their praise for illegal immigrants to extreme levels, as the party decided that immigrant voters would give it a national lock on power.”
Kind of makes the whole liberal progressive “Hate Trump” message a little clearer doesn’t it?
As bad as all this sounds (and you have to admit it sounds pretty damned bad) it is far from the worst component of this story.
What these “Democrat affiliated officials” left out of their pleas for the passage of the Dream Act of 2017 is some of the shocking facts about the results of the Dreamer program itself.
An unrelated article concerning this actually appeared on Brietbart’s website the same day (November 11th) as the article by Niel Munro that we have just been discussing, only this article was written by Ian Mason (you can read it here)
In his article Mason describes the results of a sweep conducted by ICE that was launched as a
“…significant step towards dismantling and eradicating MS-13 in the United States and in El Salvador,”
M-13? Well that sounds bad, certainly no one is dumb enough to be a champion of the ultra violent, extremist gang are they? According to the article, criminal charges against the gang members caught up in the sweep
“…include racketeering and conspiracy to commit murder in the furtherance of racketeering. According to Rybicki, an entire eight-man MS-13 “clique” (a local division of a gang) was arrested in the operation. This “Sailors Clique” operated in suburban Maryland, a hotspot of MS-13 activity, and has been linked to at least three murders.”
You may very well be thinking, “Wow, we dodged a bullet (literally) there!”. Maybe you are even thankful that the “Dreamers” that those loving Democrats want to make sure aren’t “left behind” are the peaceful, American loving type of immigrants. But not so fast, the. statistics of the raid are outlined in the article and bare some consideration. It states that
“Sixty-four of the 193 illegals – nearly one in three – are would-be “dreamers” because they illegally crossed the border while claiming to be minors. Their unscreened claims to be children — not adults — won them the legal status of “Unaccompanied Alien Children,” which allowed them to claim federal aid and be released into the United States”
Hmmm, maybe Congress hasn’t been allowing the many, many, many liberal progressive politicians who have been beating their chests and demanding passage of the Dream Act of 2017 adequate time to explain to their constituents that many of those dreamers might actually want to kill you.
So now these oh-so-righteous lib progs (rhymes with glib frogs) are threatening to close down the government if these “Dreamers” (who sound far more like a nightmare) aren’t allowed unconditional amnesty and treated just as well (if not better) than soldiers who have fought and bled for this country. That sounds about right (please read with the fully intended heavy sarcasm)
So next time you see a liberal progressive politician’s lips moving, please ask them (politely) to just “shut the hell up”
