If you’re a white American you better to feel guilty about it- at least that’s the message coming from the left. Chances are you are already committing so-called sins like feeling proud to be an American or standing for our National Anthem, and now there is another to add to the list: being part of a white nuclear family. Apparently having a white nuclear family promotes white supremacy.
Jessie Daniels, described as an expert on “the Internet manifestations of racism” has gotten some serious backlash on social media users after saying that white families promote racism by default.
The professor began her argument saying that that families “reproducing white children” are “part of the problem” as they facilitate white supremacy in the country.
Campus Reform reported,
“I mean, if you’re a white person who says they’re engaged in dismantling white supremacy but…you’re forming a white family [and] reproducing white children that ‘you want the best for’ – how is that helping [and] not part of the problem?”
While she argued that the white nuclear family was a key perpetrator of racism, she also argued that multiracial families can be “part of the problem” too, if the white person in the relationship fails in “dealing [with] your own racism or systemic white supremacy.”
“Until white people are ready to confront their own family’s racism (and) participation in systemic white supremacy, it’s not getting dismantled,” she wrote. “Beyond just calling out interpersonal racism, white people who want to be engaged in the work need to ask themselves about housing wealth.”
She added: “White people: do you own your home? When you die, where’s wealth in that house going? If it’s to your children, you’re reproducing (inequality).”
That’s right. It’s unfair to pass down the home YOU WORKED FOR to your children. It should be redistributed. This isn’t the first time this argument has come up. Some liberals seem to believe that wealth should be completely redistributed so that “everything’s fair.” Sounds a bit like communism.
