Anti-Thanksgiving Journalists Attack WH Spokesperson For Asking What They Are Thankful For

Some stories just beg for the use of really profane language

Newsbusters initially reported on the following incident

Monday Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders made the horrendous mistake of assuming that media personalities had souls, and asked them what they were most thankful for during the week of Thanksgiving.

Horrible!!! It is just a step away from setting journalists pants on fire or filling them (the pants) with angry squirrels. Well, at least that’s what you might think that based upon the reactions of the oh-so-nuanced and respectable liberal main stream media.

During the long, long, long, long reign of the Obama Administration (aka the transparent brick wall) Robert Gibbs, Jay Carney or Josh Earnest could have asked the same highly professional pool of journalists what they loved most about Obama and would in all likelihood have received nothing but gushing remarks and adoration in return.

But the woman asking this question wasn’t a liberal and she might even have been talking about being thankful to God (Cue pearl clutching and fainting among the liberal elite). So naturally the press corp was shocked and appalled, outraged even!!

Some members of the White House Press Corp just live to be offended. Acting as if they are the angry ex-spouse from hell (which some of them very well might be) these so-called “journalists” took umbrage with Sander’s request that they express their thanks for something.

The single worst offender in what turned out to be a journalistic gaggle of offenders would be NPR’s Domenico Montanaro who actually stated that Sander’s request was (seriously) “harmful to a Democracy

Following close behind Montanaro was the Daily Beast’s Asawin Suebsaeng who had an epic fit for himself tweeting the following

Sadly these two overly sensitive, hate filled, anti-Trump, anti-thanks and anti whatever else “journalists” were not alone in their expressions of horror and tear filled tweets and rants. Why the likes of this behavior have not been seen since that day in November 2016 when for all intents and purposes the liberal narrative died a horrible death.

Just when you might start believing that journalism has lost it’s integrity and has lapsed into unprofessional nonsense Newsbusters also reported that

“Freelance journalist Kate Bevan was similarly annoyed, tweeting for Sanders to “fuck off” and “[h]ope the reporters said they were thankful for a free press.” For the record, a number of them did, with Bloomberg’s Margaret Talov and ABC’s Cecilia Vega citing that as their sole answers”

Seriously, is it just a matter of being overly sensitive? Or is it lazy reporters who think that anything they say about how mean, or stupid, or just plain bad Donald Trump and his administrative staff are will get them clicks and views?

Can reporters truly be annoyed that Sanders asked them what they were thankful for, or that Trump pardoned a couple of turkeys, or that Trump arranged the freedom of some basketball players? Sadly the answer is a resounding yes, yes they can and yes they are.

A large part of the problem is that a number of these reporters have a vastly inflated view of their own self worth. They have Acosta like ego’s that honestly believe that Democracy will end if they aren’t in the White House basically writing down what people say which let’s face it, in the world of video camera’s and tape recorders isn’t really even necessary.

So if someone asks you what your thankful for this Thanksgiving mention your wonderful family and friends, don’t forget the spectacular country you live in or the magnificent rights and privileges you enjoy as an American and please, don’t forget to mention your right just to be thankful for something.
